Freedom is the word that comes to mind when considering living
at Briarwood. Independent living at Briarwood allows residents
freedom from daily chores. One such freedom is the relief that
maintenance free living offers. You close the door to your
cottage or apartment and don't have to worry about a thing. We
have 24-hour on-call maintenance staff to care for every aspect
of your home inside and out. We worry about your furnace and
roof, as well as, the shoveling, raking and mowing. This will
free you up to enjoy many of the fine programs, trips, concerts
and classes that are available here.
We know that not everyone wants to be busy, but should you choose to you can take computer classes, art classes, enjoy the wood working shop, the hobby room. That doesn't even begin to mention the wonderful concerts and trips that are available. The monthly social hour is a great place to catch up with neighbors and to enjoy some fine entertainment.
Another freedom is not having to worry about meal preparation. The cottage residents enjoy eight meals per month or more if wanted. The apartment residents enjoy one meal per day. The menu has great variety and changes weekly. The meals are served restaurant style in a beautifully appointed dining room over a two and one-half hour span. You can choose when you eat. Should you enjoy cooking almost every cottage and apartment has a fully applianced kitchen with plenty of room to work.
Briarwood's spacious cottages are all two-bedrooms and have a sun-room and a garage. Some even have an additional Den room. Apartments are both one and two-bedrooms ranging from 630sq. ft. to 1098 sq. ft. The cottages range from 994 sq. ft to 1306 sq. ft. Beautiful views of our lovely wooded campus are enjoyed by both cottage and apartment dwellers.
Should you wish to be pampered Briarwood has a Beauty/Barber shop. Enjoy a manicure, pedicure or both! A masseuse is available to ease any tensions you may be experiencing.
