Letter From the CEO
Thank you for your interest in Briarwood. By browsing through this web site you
will learn about the many different options for living that Briarwood offers its
residents. You will also learn about the multitude of services and amenities that
create a quality of life and value that can't be found anywhere else. What you
will not get a sense of from the web site because they are difficult to capture in
words and pictures, are the "feelings" that Briarwood engenders. In fact, we are
often told that if we could bottle these feelings, we would be rich! I would like
to take a moment and try to describe what it means to be a member of the Briarwood
community.
Briarwood is certainly about cottages and apartments and country-style living in the city. It certainly is about dining, trips, concerts and fitness programs. But more importantly, Briarwood is about feeling in control...living where you want and how you want. Briarwood is about feeling valued for your life accomplishments...the knowledge that you possess and the talents and experiences that you have accumulated over a lifetime. Briarwood is about feeling interconnected with people who care about each other...it's about the sense of new identity and adventure that comes from being a part of a community of shared ideas and activities and it's about the sense of well-being and security that only comes when you feel that you are a part of something bigger than yourself!
So, since we can't "bottle" these feelings and ship them to you, I invite you to come to Briarwood and share them with those who reside here and those of us who have the privilege of serving the residents of Briarwood.
