Nashoba Valley Winery: Part II

The last time we looked at some amazing wines at Nashoba Valley Winery.  As many people know, wine not only tastes fantastic, but it also offers assorted benefits, like the potential lowering of heart disease/blood clot risks.  Still, because wine is an alcoholic beverage, it should only be consumed in moderation.  Interestingly, non-alcoholic wines have been linked to numerous health benefits, as well.

So, what else does this wonderful Worcester County locale make available to its customers?  Let’s look at a few of the other offerings.

  • Beer.  Some people are wine people, and some people are beer people (and some are both!).  Fortunately, Nashoba Valley Winery makes wine and beer.  Actually, the impressive onsite brewery was established in 2004 and has a variety of selections to satisfy many appetites.  Some of the more popular availabilities are Wattaquadock Wheat, Heron Ale, and Bolt 117 Lager.  Seasonal favorites include Oaktoberfest, Blackberry Ale, Belgian Style Double, Imperial Stout, and Belgian Pale Ale.  No additives or preservatives are used in these satisfying beverages, and the grains and hops are milled and grown on Nashoba Valley Winery grounds.
  • Gift items.  The wine shop offers more than wine.  Actually, there are many interesting items to choose from.  Examples?  Well, there are various beers, plus assorted food specialties from different New England companies.  There are also non-edibles like elegantly crafted crystal, picnic accompaniments, and wine accessories (think stoppers and racks).  Would you believe this business even makes liquor?  Wow!  In fact, the wine shop offers assorted Nashoba Valley Winery brandies, whiskies, and vodkas for sale.
  • J’s Restaurant.  What else could complement a fine winery more than a well-regarded restaurant?  Impressively, J’s is highly rated by Zagat for its tasty American fare.  Lunch hours run from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.  Dinner hours are from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.  A buffet Sunday brunch is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Reservations are strongly suggested, and a fixed dinner menu with choice of appetizer, main course, and dessert is available Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings.  Goodness, yummy!

Well, are there other particulars to know about this pictorial property?  Because of the charming orchard on the grounds, apple, peach, and plum picking is periodically available.  In addition, festivals are sometimes featured.

Gosh, it all sounds great: you have to check it out![/vc_column_text][/vc_column]
