Art Exhibit Featuring Paper Instead of Paint to Grace the Walls at the Briarwood Gallery

Worcester, Massachusetts  The Briarwood Community is pleased to announce its fourth public art exhibit in a series of six for 2014.  An exhibit of unique paper mosaic and collage paintings by artist, Len Haug, will be on display at the Gallery at Briarwood, 65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester Sunday, July 13 through Friday, August 29. The opening reception will take place on Sunday, July 13, between 2 p.m. and 4p.m. The reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The exhibit is open Mondays through Thursdays from 10am-4pm. Group tours and those wishing to visit on weekends may make arrangements by contacting Anita Thomas at 508-852-9007 or by e-mailing amthomas@briarwoodsl.com.

While Len Haug works in all media, this special exhibit will feature over 30 pieces of art created from hundreds to thousands of very small pieces of shredded and cut recycled paper. Len Haug has received numerous awards and prizes at the local, regional and national level.

Remaining exhibits for 2014 in will feature Barbara Petter Putman: Wood Cut Prints (September and October) and Photographer Ron Rosentock (November and December).

Briarwood is a non-profit senior living community that includes Independent Living cottages & apartments, Assistance in Living services, and Knollwood Nursing Center for skilled nursing & rehabilitation services.
