Worcester, Massachusetts The Gallery at Briarwood is pleased to announce the fourth public art exhibit in a series of six for 2016. ”Sid Solomon Looks Both Ways: East vs. West” runs Sunday, July 10 through Friday, Sept. 9, and is open Mondays through Fridays from 10am-4pm. The Gallery at Briarwood is located at 65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester. Sid Solomon, locally renowned portraitist and landscape painter, continues to extend his artistic reach from a 60 year study of Western oil painting into the field of sumi-e Eastern ink painting techniques. Fifty contrasting examples of his Eastern and Western art will be on display at the gallery.
The Gallery at Briarwood Committee members include Bill Fyffe, Frank Kimball, Mimi Grenier, Persis Hamilton, Betty Petter, Marilyn Pratt, David Sawin, Anita Thomas (Staff) and Dot Yagjian.
Upcoming 2016 exhibits for The Gallery at Briarwood will include: September: Barbara Brosnihan, painter and teacher and November: WWI Poster exhibit presented by Briarwood resident, Gordon, Lankton.
