Barbara is the daughter of Briarwood resident Betty Petter and the late Dr. John Petter. Barbara will showcase her wood-cut printmaking. Her art is unique and lauded by the art community. The exhibit will continue through Thursday, October 30.
Barbara Putnam teaches drawing, printmaking and a survey course in Art History at St. Mark’s School. Her prints and quilts have been shown internationally; solo exhibitions include Finland, Group exhibitions include Argentina, Romania, Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington DC, South Dakota, Boston, Denver, Toledo, Cleveland, and Portland Maine. Collections include national Museum of Fine Arts Hanoi, Jyväskylä Museum of Art Finland, Hood Museum at Dartmouth College, Art Institute of Chicago, Yale University Art Gallery and Fogg Museum at Harvard University. She studied Art at the University of New Hampshire, and did graduate work at Harvard University, along with courses at Haystack Mt. School of Craft.
