The Gallery at Briarwood invites you to the opening reception of Gordon Lankton’s WWI Poster Exhibit. These posters feature remarkable artwork and vivid colors with different types of messaging from recruitment messages to appeals for the sale of Liberty Bonds. Women’s images, both on the homefront and in uniform are central to a number of the featured posters. Gordon Lankton is a Briarwood resident, a long-time president and current chairman of Nypro, the founder of the world-class Museum of Russian Icons and more recently the Gallery of African Art.
