New England School of Fine Art’s “Academic Traditions

The Gallery at Briarwood    July 8th – August 31st


Worcester, MA The Gallery at Briarwood is pleased to announce its next public art exhibit, fourth in a series of six for 2018:  “Academic TraditionsFrom a Student’s Perspective,” an exhibition of work produced in the New England School of Fine Art by students and the school’s co-founder, Jo Ellen Reinhardt.


The exhibit runs from July 8th through August 31st at The Gallery at Briarwood, 65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester. An Opening Reception will be on Sunday, July 15th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. with refreshments and music by Violinist Brittany Stockwell.


Works will include different genres such as watercolor, oil painting and portraiture. This exhibition highlights students’ work created in current classes and pieces by Jo Ellen Reinhardt.


Ms. Reinhardt received her classical training at the New School of Classical Art under the instruction of Florence Academy artist Dana Levin. In 2015, along with her husband Chris, she opened the New England School of Fine Art, located at 51 Union Street in Worcester, MA.  The school’s mission is to teach and preserve the methods of realistic drawing and painting through a variety of subject matter and media.


The Gallery at Briarwood is open Mondays through Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Groups and those wishing to visit on weekends may make arrangements by contacting Leslie Reichert at 508-852-9007 or by email at lreichert@briarwoodsl.com


The Gallery at Briarwood showcases a wide variety of artistic talents. Its mission is to educate, encourage and inspire residents and visitors by presenting a schedule of media using both traditional and innovative techniques. Upcoming 2018 exhibits for the Gallery at Briarwood include works by Yvonne Hemingway, Joanne Quinn and Bruce Dean.
