“Perceptions: A Genesis Club Art Exhibit”
Opening Reception is Sunday, November 8, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Worcester, Massachusetts The Gallery at Briarwood is pleased to announce the sixth public art exhibit in a series of six for 2015. “Perceptions: A Genesis Club Art Exhibit,” presented by Genesis Club of Worcester, will run November 8 through December 29, and is open Mondays through Fridays from 10am-4pm. Groups and those wishing to visit on weekends may make arrangements by contacting Anita Thomas at 508-852-9007 or by e-mailing amthomas@briarwoodsl.com.
The Opening Reception will take place Sunday, November 8, 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at the Gallery at Briarwood, 65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester. Guests will have an opportunity to meet the Genesis Club artists in person. The reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
This exhibit will showcase 40 works of art from 17 different artists, members of Genesis Club, Inc. The mission of Genesis Club is to assist individuals with a mental illness to attain employment, housing, wellness, and friendships. Through participation in the Genesis Club, people are given the opportunities to rejoin the world of friendships, family, important work, employment, education, and to access the services and supports they may individually need.

Upcoming 2016 exhibits for The Gallery at Briarwood will include: January: Briarwood Residents’ Show; March: Kathlene Hebert; May: Pleine Air Group; July: Sid Solomon; September: Barbara Brosnihan; and November: WWI Poster exhibit presented by Briarwood resident, Gordon, Lankton.
